Add a Smart Notification data source: M3

Add a Smart Notification data source for connection Infor Smart Office and M3.

  1. Launch Smart Notification and log in as an administrator.
  2. Click Admin.
  3. Under Data Sources, click Work With Data Sources.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Select DME Connection.
  6. Specify information for the data source:
    Name

    SNSOM3

    Note: The name of the data source must be SNSOM3.
    Description

    The M3 Data Source name. The name can be found in the M3 Information Manager in Workplace.

    For example:

    Primary M3 Server

    DME URL

    The URL for the MIE service

    For example:

    http://server.company.com/MIEWeb/services/MieWS

    DME PROD:

    The M3 Information Engine application name. The name can be found in the MIE Manager in Workplace.

    For example:

    MIE60

    User Name

    The User Name and Password for a user in Workplace. The user you specify must have global access to M3 data for processing watches in Infor Smart Office.

    This user must also be a member of the WSUsers and WSAdmin group. The groups are administered through the WebSphere administration console.

    Go to Applications > Enterprise Applications > MWP_EAR > Security role to user/group mapping.

    Note: Only add trusted users to the WSAdmin group. Users belonging to this group can add/remove MIE Models.
    Password

    Password for the user ID.

  7. Click Test Settings.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Save.
