Add a Smart Notification data source: M3
Add a Smart Notification data source for connection Infor Smart Office and M3.
- Launch Smart Notification and log in as an administrator.
- Click Admin.
- Under Data Sources, click Work With Data Sources.
- Click Add.
- Select DME Connection.

Specify information for the data source:
- Name

Note: The name of the data source must beSNSOM3
. - Description

The M3 Data Source name. The name can be found in the M3 Information Manager in Workplace.
For example:
Primary M3 Server
- DME URL

The URL for the MIE service
For example:
http://server.company.com/MIEWeb/services/MieWS
- DME PROD:
-
The M3 Information Engine application name. The name can be found in the MIE Manager in Workplace.
For example:
MIE60
- User Name
-
The User Name and Password for a user in Workplace. The user you specify must have global access to M3 data for processing watches in Infor Smart Office.
This user must also be a member of the WSUsers and WSAdmin group. The groups are administered through the WebSphere administration console.
Go to Applications > Enterprise Applications > MWP_EAR > Security role to user/group mapping.
Note: Only add trusted users to the WSAdmin group. Users belonging to this group can add/remove MIE Models. - Password

Password for the user ID.
- Click Test Settings.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
