Install horizontal scaling

Use these steps for an initial installation of horizontal scaling.

  1. Install Infor BI for Lawson.

    See Installing Infor BI for Lawson.

  2. Perform a second installation using this criteria:

    • Select Install New Products.

    • Select Smart Notification as the product to install.

    • Select the appropriate database on the Select Database for the Application screen.

    • Select the check box for Database Used for Previous Installation on the Select Database for the Application screen.

    • Enter the same information provided during the first installation for database configuration.

  3. Complete the installation.
  4. Run the secondary server Install Validator. In a browser, type:

    http://servername.mycompany.com:port/lsn/admin/installvalidatorSlave.jsp

  5. In WebSphere, stop the secondary server instance.
  6. Adjust the memory settings for the secondary server instance.

  7. Restart the secondary server instance.
