Validate the Reporting Services installation

  1. Launch the Reporting Services Installation Validator from:

    http:// servername.mycompany.com:port /ers/installvalidator.jsp

    For example:

    http://europe.lawson.com:9080/ers/installvalidator.jsp

Note: For convenience, bookmark this location for ease of access later.
  2. In the Reporting Services Installation Validator, provide the location of the Framework Services server, the Framework Services user ID, and password:
    Framework Services Location

Provide the fully-qualified domain name for the Framework Services server.

    Framework Services User ID

Provide the Framework Services User ID.

    This is an administrator user.

    Framework Services Password

Provide the password for the Framework Services User ID

Note: A user name/password of lawson/lawson works for file-level authentication.
  3. Click Login to Framework Services.
  4. On Global System Settings, specify this information:
    Repository Location

A location where Reporting Services creates a directory to store published files and save report history files.

You can change this location by updating the system settings for Reporting Services after the installation is complete.

Leave this field as C:\ if you want the default C:\LawsonDocuments directory created.

Repository Location is Available to Report Application Server

Select TRUE for improved performance for large reports.

You may need to switch RAS to not run as a local or domain user, not the system user, for the service to have access to it. The same path must still be available to Infor BI for Lawson as well.

For example, if you specify C:\ReportRepository as the Repository location and TRUE in the Repository Location is Available to Report Application Server then both the Reporting Services server and the RAS server have access to C:\ReportRepository.

If the Repository Location is Available to Report Application Server is set to FALSE, then only the Reporting Services server needs access to C:\ReportRepository.

    Archive Location

Enter a location where Reporting Services can store reports when they are archived. This file system location must already exist within the file system.

You can change this location by updating the system settings for Reporting Services after the installation is complete.

    Reporting Services Administrator Role
    • For Text File Authentication in Framework Services, the default for this role is "Administrators".

    • For Logan Authentication in Framework Services, the default for this role is "Admin".

  5. Click Save File System Repository Location.
