Removing expired users and roles
- Manually synchronize users and roles. See Synchronizing users and roles.
 - Click Remove Expired Users and Roles to display the Delete Expired Users and Roles page.
           Note: Deletion of expired users and expired roles can be done at any time and not necessarily after the synchronization process.
 - Select expired users and expired roles to delete.
 - Verify if a selected user has content in Framework Services, Reporting Services, or Smart Notification in the check boxes across their user names.
           
- If the selected user has content, select an active user in the Transfer ownership to field.
 - If the selected user has no content or if only an expired group is selected, you do not need to select an active user to transfer ownership to.
 
 - Click Delete.
 - Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box. A dialog box is displayed confirming the deletion of expired users and/or roles.

An error message is displayed if you did not select a user or role to be deleted or did not select an active user to transfer ownership to.

If in https, ensure that the post installation steps for an https instance are completed before using this feature.
