Importing Smart Notification categories

Use this procedure to import an XML document. You can also use this procedure to import a Hyperion Essbase structure file (.str).

Note: You must be an administrator to perform this procedure.
  1. Click Admin.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Browse to the folder that contains the file to import and click Open. Smart Notification imports the file you chose and displays the corresponding outline in the Work With Categories screen.
    • A pop-up message is displayed confirming if the import is successful.
    • An error message is displayed if the file to be imported is an invalid file format or an invalid XML format.
  4. Click Close to return to the Admin links page.
