Delivery is the method you choose to send the notification to the recipient. When you add delivery to your notification, you must specify how and when the notification will be delivered.

Typically, email is the delivery device. However, you can deliver notifications to a variety of devices, such as a cell phone, PDA, or fax machine.

You also must specify when the notification should be delivered, either when the data is updated in the system or when a specific condition is met. You can schedule when you want the notification delivered: daily, weekly, monthly, on a specific date, and at a specific time. Bursting is also an available delivery option for notifications. For more information about bursting, see Bursting and hierarchical analysis.
