Archiving historical instances

Use this procedure to specify when you want Reporting Services to archive a report's historical instances. The report's owner or an administrator can archive a report's historical instances.

To specify when you want the system to archive a report's historical instances

  1. Open the Tools dashboard and select My Reports. The Reports screen is displayed.
  2. Locate the report for which you want to view historical instances.
  3. Click the History link. All historical instances of that report are displayed.
  4. Click the link corresponding to the report that you want to view. The Report Details screen is displayed.
  5. Click the Advanced link. The Report Details – Advanced screen is displayed.
  6. Select the Archive Instances After Total Number of Days Exceeding option if you want to archive instances after a number of days.
  7. Specify the number of days after which you want Reporting Services to archive in the field.
  8. Select the Archive instances older than option if you want to archive instances of a specified age.
  9. Specify the number of days in the field and then select an increment, for example, 10 Week(s).
  10. Click Save.
