Archiving historical instances
Use this procedure to specify when you want Reporting Services to archive a report's historical instances. The report's owner or an administrator can archive a report's historical instances.
To specify when you want the system to archive a report's historical instances
- Open the dashboard and select . The Reports screen is displayed.
 - Locate the report for which you want to view historical instances.
 - Click the History link. All historical instances of that report are displayed.
 - Click the link corresponding to the report that you want to view. The Report Details screen is displayed.
 - Click the Advanced link. The Report Details – Advanced screen is displayed.
 - Select the Archive Instances After Total Number of Days Exceeding option if you want to archive instances after a number of days.
 - Specify the number of days after which you want Reporting Services to archive in the field.
 - Select the Archive instances older than option if you want to archive instances of a specified age.
 - Specify the number of days in the field and then select an increment, for example, 10 Week(s).
