Process Automation role
As a user of Process Automation, you have been assigned at least one role. For example, suppose you and several coworkers are responsible for approving purchases of computer equipment at your company. In Process Automation, you and your coworkers have been assigned the role HardwarePurchaseApprovals. When a new hardware request is made, a work item is sent to the Inbasket of all users who have you been assigned the HardwarePurchaseApprovals role.
Inbasket lists all roles you have been assigned in the left column. When you click a role, the work items associated with that role are displayed. When you click a work item, detailed information about the workunit as a whole is available through the tabs.
If you have multiple roles, one of them is designated as the default role. Typically, the default role includes the work you perform most often. When Inbasket opens, it displays tasks and messages for the default role first. Click any other roles to see its tasks and messages.
You can change the default role through the Settings option on the Inbasket toolbar.
See Inbasket (Workflow) settings.
If you only have only one role, you do not have to select it. Your Inbasket will open with the role active.
