Infor BI features available in Infor Smart Office
This section describes features for Infor BI that are being introduced for use with Infor Smart Office.
Watches
Watches let you monitor M3 and Lawson form values and alert you if a condition has been reached. You can watch from the Infor Smart Office canvas or have an alert sent to your inbox if a threshold has been reached.
This documentation explains what watches are and how to configure and use them.
Lawson only: For release 9.0.3.1 and later of LBI, watches can monitor multiple fields and records.
See What is a watch in Infor BI/Analysis?
Watches created in LBI 9.0.3.0 runs in 9.0.3.1 and later. If you want the watch to take advantage of new features available in the later release, you must recreate it.
Wizard for creating watches
When you create a watch, you are stepped through the process by a wizard.
Watch Manager
From the Infor Smart Office Navigator, you can select My Watches, Manager to see a list of all watches you created. From the list you can make changes to a watch configuration or refresh the list of watches.
Inbox
Infor Smart Office provides an Inbox for receiving messages from Lawson and, sometimes, non-Lawson applications. Infor BI alerts are sent to the Inbox.
This documentation explains how to configure and use Inbox.
Chart widget and traffic lighting
In LBI release 9.0.3.1 and later, you can view information about a watch in a chart format on your canvas. You can include visual traffic lighting that maintains a green, yellow, red status for data being watched. For example, you can set up a range of values for a group of invoices. If all invoices are within the low range of values, the chart widget is green. If one or more moves into the middle of the range, it displays in yellow. If one or more invoices moves into the high end of the range, it displays in red.
WatchList widget
The WatchList widget can be placed on your Infor Smart Office canvas to let you monitor some or all of your watches in a single location.
Use the widget's right- and left-pointing arrows to scroll through a list of watches.
