What is a watch in Infor BI/Analysis?

In Infor BI/Analysis, you can monitor various values and configure the system to alert you if the value is reached. This is called a watch.

Watches can monitor Lawson and M3 form values and alert you if a condition has been reached. You can monitor, or watch, the value from the Infor Smart Office canvas or have an alert sent to your inbox if a threshold has been reached.

A watch is visually represented by a gauge, a small icon, that you can place directly on the Infor Smart Office canvas. For example, suppose you are a manager in a purchasing unit who needs to sign off on purchase orders above $1,000. You can set up a watch to monitor a purchase order cost field. If a purchase order with a cost above $1,000 is created, you will receive an alert in your Infor Smart Office Inbox.
