Functionality for Infor Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI) is not included in the standard

Description

The LBI feature is delivered independently of Infor Smart Office. A separate package is needed to install the LBI functionality.

Functionality for Search is not included in the standard installation of Infor Smart Office 10.2.0


Description	The Search feature is delivered independently of Infor Smart Office. A separate package is needed to install the Search functionality.

Infor Document Management in Infor Smart Office

Description

The APIs for Infor Document Management have changed in IDM version 10.1.0. To enhance the user experience for IDM in Infor Smart Office, there is an improved IDM client in Infor Smart Office 10.2. This new client is using the new APIs of IDM 10.1.0. Thus, to use Infor Smart Office 10.2 with IDM, the IDM version must be 10.1.0 or later.

IDM 10.1.0 still contains the old APIs but they are deprecated. This means older versions of Infor Smart Office will work with IDM version including and up to 10.1.0. In IDM version 11 and later, the old APIs are removed. Upgrading IDM may affect your Infor Smart Office installation.

When upgrading to releases of IDM later than 10.1.0, your JScript and SDK code in Infor Smart Office that use IDM APIs will stop working. You must rewrite this code to use the new IDM APIs.

Infor Ming.le in Infor Smart Office


Description	The features and widgets described require Infor Ming.le Enterprise API 11.1.1 to be installed and configured. Infor Ming.le notifications for the current user are displayed in Infor Smart Office. User can work with Posts, Alerts, and Tasks in Infor Smart Office. My Feed widget shows the activity feed in Infor Ming.le for the current user. Alerts widget shows the list of Alerts in Infor Ming.le for the current user. Tasks widget shows the list of Tasks in Infor Ming.le for the current user. Infor Ming.le drillback links are supported in Infor Smart Office for M3 Applications and Lawson Applications. Possible to share information directly from an application in Infor Smart Office to Ming.le or from the canvas.

Infor Smart Office Management Pages


Description	New Management Pages have been added for administrating the Infor Smart Office server (MangoServer). The export and import of the installation point that you previously used in LCM have been moved to the Management Pages for MangoServer. There are also some other new functions such as Manage Applications, Manage Collaboration Server, Cache Management, and Restore Server.

Changes to Widget Library


Description	These new widgets have been added to the Widget Library: Image widget – You can use this widget to create a slideshow of images in the Infor Smart Office canvas. You can also share the uploaded images with other users. Custom menu – You can use this widget to create your own menu with links and check boxes. Log viewer – You can use this widget to view log entries in real time. Navigator widget – A Favorites Organizer, which allows custom ordering of Favorites, can now be accessed from the Settings.

Lock screen


Description	A new lock screen feature has been added to the canvas. It is triggered by Manual lock in the Log Off button or by Automatic lock caused by idle time-outs. The lock screen covers the entire canvas and is unlocked with the password of the current user. Lock screen time-out is configured in the Application Settings in Mango Core.

Changes to collaboration


Description	The entire way of collaborating in Infor Smart Office has been rebuilt. The changes include updates to the UI, several new features, and more straightforward ways of communicating and sharing information with other users. New developer functionality


Description	The existing variable replacement syntax has been extended with support for variable replacement expressions. It is now possible to apply functions such as substring and many others to values in variable replacements in Mashups, Smart Links, and other places where variable replacement is supported. See the SDK documentation for the Mango.Core.Util.ExpressionFunctions for more information.

User language


Description	User language is saved as a roamed setting so that you get your preferred language when logging into a new machine or when multiple users are using different languages on the same machine.

Sharing Infor Smart Office content


Description	You can now share Infor Smart Office content such as files, text, links, screenshots, and images to different targets, including Infor Ming.le, an Infor Smart Office contact, and Microsoft Outlook.
