Feature updates for all installations
Startpads and the Startpad Manager
Description |
Startpads are groups of shortcuts to frequently used applications.
The Startpad Manager is the tool used to create and manage Startpads.
Each startpad you create can serve a specific purpose or be adapted to a certain role in your organization. By restricting access to startpads by role, the administrator can use startpads to control user access to applications running in Infor Smart Office. The Startpad feature is delivered as a separate installation package, which is available from the Infor Smart Office download record on Infor Support Portal. |

Changes to News Reader Authentication support
Description |
You can also configure the widget to use the current Infor Smart Office credentials or Windows Authentication. The News Reader now supports basic authentication and Integrated Windows Authentication (NTLM). You can specify a user name and password for basic authentication and these values are stored locally and encrypted on the machine so an administrator cannot configure a default super user and password. |
