Feature updates for all installations

Description
Infor Smart Office has added support to these new technology requirements:
  • Database: SQL Server 2019 (on Windows Server 2019 only)
  • Browser: Microsoft Edge Chromium, latest version (Windows only)
  • Application framework: .NET Framework 4.8.x

This update has taken effect in December 2020.

Note: The new support for SQL Server 2019 (on Windows Server 2019 only) is only applicable to an LCM 10 setup.

Infor Mashup Designer has added support for Application framework: .NET Framework 4.8.x.

.NET Framework 4.8.x is the required minimum version for updating Infor Smart Office 10.2.1 to the latest hotfix starting December 2020.

Updated platform support

Description
These platforms are now supported:
  • MS SQL Server 2014 Database
  • ION Grid 1.13

    This version is required if you are using M3 UI Adapter 10.3.0. Earlier versions of grid are not supported.

  • Infor Smart Office server can now be installed in multiple grid hosts (Grid scale out).

Changes to Widget Library

Description
These new widgets have been added to the Widget Library:
  • M3 Info Monitor – This widget extends the functionality in current M3 Info Browser widget and can be configured to use any M3 MI transaction to list data.
  • Custom Menu – This widget lets users create their own tree structure menu to be shared with other users in Infor Smart Office.
    Note: The Custom Menu widget in ISO 10.2.0 is now called Custom List widget in the Widget Library. It still contains the same functionality as before.

Updated certificate

Description

Starting with Smart Office 10.2.1.0.460 (HF55), Infor Smart Office is signed with a new certificate recognized by Microsoft. With this, the Microsoft Windows Defender SmartScreen dialog that appears every time you launch Smart Office has stopped.

In cases when the Microsoft Windows Defender SmartScreen dialog appears upon launching Smart Office, additional steps detailed in the Infor Smart Office Administration Guide must be performed to establish mutual trust.

Together with the new certificate, moving forward, installing Infor Smart Office package using LifeCycle Manager 9.1.x is no longer supported.
