Restyling of Infor Smart Office user interface

Description

Infor Smart Office has been restyled to conform to the Infor UX 3.0 design standards.

Changes to Mashup Designer

Description

Mashup Designer was previously located under the Administration tools menu. Now, it is found under Smart Office Navigator > Mashup > Tools.

You can still access Mashup Designer by specifying designer:// in the Start Application box. Access to the Designer tool is still determined by the allowed applications configured for Mango Core in the Settings Editor.

Changes to Search application

Description
These improvements have been implemented to the Enterprise Search UI in Infor Smart Office:
  • You can now customize which interest centers to search in through the settings mode. Only the interest centers you selected are displayed in the Search UI.
  • Breadcrumb navigation is now available to let users keep track of their position within the search results. The last part of the breadcrumbs is an editable text query.

Compatibility with Windows Server 2012 64-bit and Windows 8

Description
Infor Smart Office 10.1.0 can now be installed on Windows Server 2012. In addition, Infor Smart Office supports Windows 8 as a client operating system.
Note: Windows Server 2012 only applies to installation of Infor Smart Office using LifeCycle Manager 10.x.

Upgrade to .NET Framework 4.5 impacts support for Windows XP

Description

Installation of Infor Smart Office 10.1.0 requires an upgrade of .NET Framework from 4.0 to 4.5. Therefore, support for Windows XP as client operating systems has been removed.

Compatibility with Microsoft SQL server

Description

Infor Smart Office can now use SQL Server through the Grid Database Connectivity (GDBC) Grid Extension. Previously, Infor Smart Office only work on H2 database.

H2 can still be used for development and verification environments, but it does not support scale-out scenarios. For production environments, only MS SQL Server is supported.

Rebranding of Smart Office in LCM/Server side

Description

Instances of Smart Office in LCM/server side have been changed from LSO to MangoServer.
