Adding a note or file to a form record

You can also add a comment to a note. Instructions are in a later section of this topic.

  1. Open the form to which you want to add a note.
  2. Open an item or record.
  3. Select the Note icon, which is located next to the Zoom icon in the task bar.
  4. Under the menu, select Add Note.
  5. Specify the message.
  6. Select Private or Shared.
    • Private: Can only be viewed by you
    • Shared: Can be viewed by all users
  7. Click Save when you are finished typing your note or Cancel if you do not save to save it.
  8. To include a file, click Add File.
  9. Browse to the location of the file you want to attach. Select the file and click Open.

    You must include a textual note.

  10. Click Save when you are finished attaching the file and providing the note.
  11. You can add more notes to this record at any time. When multiple notes are attached to a record, the recent one is displayed at the end of the list of notes.
  12. You can edit an existing comment by clicking on the pencil icon and then adding deleting text as needed.
  13. To delete a note, open it and click X in the top-right corner.
  14. Click the Notes dialog box to close it.
