MForms settings in Infor Smart Office
This topic describes MForms (forms for M3 applications) preference settings that can be changed in Infor Smart Office.
Access to these settings is through the Infor Smart Office menu then select .
General tab
Option | Description |
Display system messages in a dialog window | Shows the messages from the M3 server in a dialog window instead of the status bar, which is the default setting |
Display company and division in the program window | Shows the current company, division, and version information in the title bar of the MForms window. |
Display label tooltips | Shows the full text for labels as a tooltip. Labels are sometimes abbreviated with the tooltip displaying a description of the label. |
Display help tooltips | Shows the field help as a tooltip for text boxes, checkboxes and other types of input fields. |
Right-align labels | Aligns field labels to the right. |
Use plus key as tab | Allows the use of the plus key as an alternative to the tab key for keyboard navigation. |
Position cursor in end of input fields | Places the cursor at the end of text boxes when they are highlighted. |
Show grid lines in list view | Shows horizontal separator lines in the list for each row. |
Standard option | Displays the default list option for the MForms list. Valid values are write, add, change, edit, and display. |
Enable toolbox | Enables the toolbox area to the right of the MForms window. |
Display navigation history | Shows the navigation history at the bottom of the toolbox. It is visible only when at least one program jump has been made. The setting will take effect only when the toolbox is enabled. |
Expand list | Shows expandable rows of lists for programs that support this feature. If a program supports expandable rows of lists and this setting is disabled. The expandable content will display in list columns. |
Enable keyboard buffer | Enables buffering of keyboard input during a request. The buffering functionality supports text input, tab navigation, enter, and function keys. |
Program Options tab

Program ID | Shows the program ID, for example, mms001. |
Option | Shows the default options for the selected program ID. |
Available program options | Shows the program options. |
