Working with Enterprise Search with Lawson Applications in Infor Smart Office

Note: Most of the functionality described in this section requires that Enterprise Search be installed and configured.

Search can launch through a context (right-click) menu in several ways, including:

  • From some fields in application forms, you can right-click to open the context menu and then select Find in Enterprise Search.

    Search launches and locates data from the interest centers you subscribe to.

  • From the Lawson Info Browser widget, you can right-click an item in your results list to open the context menu and then select Find in Enterprise Search.

  • You can save searches that you use frequently and either review the results or rerun the search criteria to obtain updated results. The search is saved in a widget that can be stored on your canvas.

  • You can export search results to a worklist. This option is available from the context (right-click) menu of Enterprise Search window when a results last has been created.

  • You can favorite a search term and display it on the homepage of the Search.

  • You can view recent queries in the Recent section on the Search homepage.

  • You can review changes you made to data through the Archive View feature. When you run a search and your results list includes data that you have chosen to save in personal history, a link to Archive View is active. Click to see the item, for example, the form that you updated as read-only. If you changed an form field, it appears in a yellow box next to the field. If you changed a detail line, the detail section is yellow.

    Only items that are saved per your personal history settings will be available and they will be available for the duration allowed by the policy on saving history that is in place at your site.
