Screen sharing during conversations

Sharing your screen in real time is now possible. This feature is available regardless of the number of participants in a conversation. When you click Share screen (beside the attachment icon), the context menu displays where you can select between sharing your desktop or sharing a specific running application in Smart Office.

After you share either your desktop or an application, a screen sharing controller window appears where you can pause, resume, stop, and switch the source of the sharing session. The controller also contains an area where participants of the conversation can be removed and reinvited. In addition, you can see the latest messages and a minimized view of the shared screen/application from the controller.

You can minimize the controller window. From this view, you can only see the control buttons and the current status of the session. These are the possible session statuses:

  • Waiting: screen sharing request has not been accepted by any participant

  • Sharing: at least one participant has accepted the request

  • Pause: session sharing is paused

  • Stopped: session sharing is stopped
