List-driven form editing
By default, Lawson forms open in a window. For example, if you are using form HR11 and you select a company to work with, you must then select an employee. The record for the employee will open in a window.
For some Lawson forms, list-driven editing is available. A list of records is displayed and you can select the one you want to work with from the list. List-driven editing can make editing of forms faster, depending on what you want to do. In the case of HR11, after you select the company you want to work with, employee records are displayed in a list format. You can edit directly from the list or open the complete form.
In addition to ease of selecting records to work with, some special features for working with forms are available only through list-driven format. These are some of the features:
- Changing a view, that is, changing how records are displayed on your screen. You can, for example, hide columns that you do not want to see or rename column headings.
- Editing data on the fly. You can edit fields as they appear in the list. the changes you make are automatically updated.
See Working with forms in list-driven format.
You must enable list-driven to use it.
Not all Lawson forms are available in list-driven format.
