Configuring integration of Infor Lawson Excel add-in and Infor Smart Office
Infor Smart Office and Infor Lawson Excel Add-in are integrated so that you can, in certain cases, edit Lawson application data in Microsoft Excel.
In Infor Smart Office, some Lawson forms have an Edit List in Excel feature. All users who want to use this feature must perform the one-time installation procedure described in this section.
The Infor Lawson Excel Add-in for Smart Office is required to support the Edit List in
Excel feature available on list-driven forms. This Add-in is supported for Excel versions of
Office 2007 through Office 2016. Excel for Office 365 is not supported.
Note: The Add-in is
only supported in a single application server environment. Attempting to use the Add-in in
a clustered application server environment will not successfully authenticate the user and
will result in this error message: Authentication error with session token
occurred.
In addition to performing the installation procedure described, these must be true before you can use the Edit in Excel feature:
- Earlier versions of the Infor Lawson Excel Add-in must have been uninstalled (through the Windows Control panel) before installing the Add-in on your system.
- The Lawson form that you want to work with must support the Lawson list-driven feature.
- The Infor Smart Office Lawson setting, Use list to access application forms (when available) must be enabled. See Enabling the list-driven feature.
- You must have access to the Edit List in Excel feature of Infor Smart Office. To secure this access, the Addins attribute (in your user entry in Lawson User Maintenance) must be set to Allow.
