What is a startpad?

A startpad is a group of shortcuts to applications. You can create startpads with links to applications that you frequently use. For example, if you frequently access several procurement applications, you can create a startpad with links to all of them. You can create groups within a startpad to further organize your applications. The Startpad Manager tool is available to all Infor Smart Office users from the Navigator.

Startpads you create for personal use are called private startpads. These startpads are stored on your local system and can only be used or updated by you. An export and import feature allows you to share startpads with other users.

You may also have startpads which are created and deployed to the user community by a Infor Smart Office administrator. These startpads are stored on the Infor Smart Office server, and can only be updated by an administrator.

All startpads are automatically available in the Navigator. Expand the Startpad section to view them. Your private startpads will be displayed under Startpad > Private.
