Defining conditions for setting default values
- Open the form for which you want to change default values.
- Click Tools > Personalization > Default Values > Conditional.
- Click New to add a new condition.
-
In Target field, select the field you want to be conditionally required; in Target
field state, select Required. Click Next.
Note: This is also where you could set a field as hidden or required.
-
Specify the condition.
Only options that make sense for the type of personalization you are making are available. For example, if you are making a field required, options for specifying text colors are not available.
-
When you are finished defining your condition, you
will be on the Finalize and Save Conditional Field dialog box.
You can assign a name to your condition and add some textual comments to describe its purpose.
- If you are ready for this personalization to be used, ensure that Activate is selected.
- Click Finish to return to the Create Conditional styles initial dialog box.
