Editing startpads

You can use the edit mode to make changes to existing startpads.

  1. From the Navigator, expand Startpad. Double-click on the Startpad Manager to launch it.
  2. Click on the pencil icon to enable edit mode.
  3. You can make these changes in edit mode:
    Change the name or description of the startpad Click the Edit Settings icon on the menu bar. Specify the new text, and click OK.
    Change the group name From the right pane, click on the group name. Specify the new name for the group, and click OK.
    Add a new shortcut and/or group to the startpad Click the Create New Shortcut icon in the menu bar. See Creating a new startpad.
    Make a copy of the startpad so you can create a new one based on it Click the Create a Private Copy icon in the menu bar. A copy of the startpad appears in the left pane.
    Remove the startpad from your system Click the Delete icon in the menu bar. Click OK to confirm.
    Make edits to a shortcut name, icon, link, or group Place your cursor over a shortcut icon and click the Edit Shortcut icon. Make your changes and click OK.
    Remove a shortcut from a group Place your cursor over a shortcut icon and click Delete.
    Remove a group from a startpad Click the Delete icon next to the group title. Deleting a group also deletes all of the shortcuts in the group.
    Change the order in which groups appear Click File > Reorder. Select a group from the list and click Up or Down to move the group. Click OK.
  4. When you are done making changes, click Save.
  5. To exit Edit mode, click the X icon in the menu bar.
