Telnet Client
You can use the Telnet Client to connect to a server by accessing the .
On the Telnet Client window, specify this information:
- Profile: You can save the provided information and credentials as a profile. Click and you will be prompted to provide a name for a new profile. Click . Then, you can select a profile to fill in the connection fields.
 - Server: The fully-qualified domain name of the server.
 - Port: Provide the port number. The default value is 23.
 - Terminal type: Select a terminal type from the drop-down menu.
 - Authentication: Select authentication type. The default value is None which will cause telnet to prompt for user name and password.
 
After providing the required values, click .
