Setting up users for Infor BI and Infor Smart Office

Infor BI users must exist in the Lawson System Foundation LDAP and the LDAP where the Grid Session Provider authenticates Infor Smart Office users.

If the two LDAPs are connected using an LDAPBIND, the users must exist in both LDAPs, but passwords can be managed in only one LDAP. If the two LDAPs are not bound, then user names and passwords must be identical in both LDAPs.

Application security must be set up. To create watches on Lawson form fields, Infor BI users in Infor Smart Office must be set up in Lawson Security to be granted access to the data displayed in the forms. An Infor Smart Office user cannot create a watch on data they do not have permission to access.

Infor BI users and passwords must exist and be identical both in the LDAP where Infor BI authenticates, and the LDAP where the Grid Session Provider authenticates Infor Smart Office users.
