User settings

Advance On Scroll | Enabled | If this setting is enabled is enabled, focus moves to the next input field when a select value changes or a history value selected. |
Advance On Short Date | Disabled | If this setting is enabled, focus moves to the next input field when a user has keyed 6 digits in a date field. |
Display Data Area in Window Title | Disabled | If this setting is enabled, the Productline/Data Area for the user will be displayed in the title bar of each S3 application window. |
Enable Toolbox | Enabled | This setting enables/disables the use of the Lawson application windows Toolbox where shortcuts can be configured/displayed. |
Save History of Key Field Selectors | Enabled | This setting enables/disables the capture of selections made by users in Drill Select. This history is then accessible from the field's context menu or via hotkeys. |
Show Job Related Print Files in Toolbox | Enabled | If this setting is enabled, Lawson batch application screens will display shortcuts to print files associated with the most recent Job accessed in the window's Toolbox. |
Show Default Action Selections in the Toolbar | Enabled | If this setting is enabled, the default action dropdown on standard Lawson forms will be shown. The user has the ability to turn this off in User Settings. |
Show Detail Tab Region | Disabled | This is a toggle-type setting that can be changed by the user on the fly. It collapses/shows tab regions associated with Detail Areas. |
Skip Detail Tab Region | Enabled | This setting will allow data entry users of Lawson applications to skip over Detail Tab Regions by pressing the tab key when focus is contained in the last input field of a row. |
Use Field Advance | Enabled | This setting has 2 effects: allows focus to move to the next input field during data entry when a user has keyed the maximum character for a field and allows additional advance features to be set. |
Use Field Advance on Data Entry | Disabled | A toggle-type setting that can be changed on the fly, displays help for each Lawson application field as it receives focus. |
Use List Driven | Disabled | On those application screens where available, if this setting is selected, the user is first presented with a list of data from which basic maintenance can be performed or the user can filter for desired data to be brought into the application form. |

Initial List Size in Drill Select | 250 | A performance impact setting, this specifies the initial size of the data record set returned by the Drill Select component. |
Scroll Size in Drill and Select | 50 | A performance impact setting, this specifies the number of records to retrieve when the user scrolls the screen with the Drill Select component. |
List Driven and Jobs List Size | 250 | A performance impact setting, this specifies the initial size of the data record set returned on the application List Driven screen and the Jobs and Reports list screens. |
Widget List Size | 250 | A performance impact setting, this setting specifies the size of the data record set returned through a list created query widget, such as the S3 Info Browser. |
Case sensitive Jobs and Report searches | Enabled | If this setting is enabled, clients can request case-sensitive searches. If this setting is disabled by deselecting the checkbox, the searches will be case insensitive. |
Use Paged PDF retrieval | Enabled | If this setting is enabled, the clients can request a PDF report with a specified number of pages. This avoids out of memory exceptions when retrieving extensive reports. |
Use Paged CSV retrieval | Enabled | If this setting is enabled, the clients can request a CSV report with a specified number of pages. This avoids out of memory exceptions when retrieving extensive reports. |
Number of PDF pages | 100 | This setting specifies the number of PDF pages to retrieve with each server call. |
Number of CSV lines | 1000 | This setting specifies the number of CSV pages to retrieve with each server call . |
Enable Search Providers | Enabled |
If this setting is enabled, the default search providers, Bing, Google, and Yahoo, can be launched from context menus in forms. Additional information about configuring search providers is in another section. |
