Removing a widget from the Widget Library list

If you want to remove a widget so that it is not available in the Widget Library, you must start by specifying all widgets that should be allowed. If the allowed widget default setting is empty, it is assumed that the widgets are allowed to be used by everyone. If you want to exclude a widget, you must specify all the widgets that you want to use in your installation and exclude the ones that you do not want to use.

To exclude a widget, you must specify all widgets except the widget you want to remove in the Mango Core settings of the Settings Editor.

Applications the user is allowed to run is configured in a similar way.

Note: If you want to use policies to remove a widget for a group, you should set up the same thing using group policies.

Open the Settings Editor.
Select Mango Core.
In the Allowed Widgets list box select the check box next to each widget that should be allowed.

For example, to enable only the Clock, QuickNote, and Navigator widget for all users, select the check box next to the Clock, QuickNote, and Navigator widgets. No other widgets will be available in the Widget Library.
Restart Infor Smart Office.

Note: Since this setting applies to all users, you should test your settings in a test environment before applying them to the production environment.
