Widget administration overview

Infor Smart Office is delivered with a preconfigured Widget Library, which is available to users from the Show menu.

As an administrator, you can do the following with widgets:

• Modify an existing widget to display as a new widget. To do this, you configure a variant of an existing widget with a specific setting, for example a News Reader with a specific RSS feed, or a Clock widget that displays time in a time zone you choose. This is only valid for widgets with settings.
• Determine which widget settings users can change (this only applies to widgets with settings).

  Use the Predefined Widget administration tool to modify widgets and widget settings. See Using the Predefined Widgets administration tool.

• Determine which widgets are displayed in the Widget Library. Widgets can be made available to all users, or allow different user groups to have access to different widgets. By default, all widgets are displayed in the Widget Library. Widget Library contents are managed using Mango Core settings in the Settings Editor. See Removing a widget from the Widget Library list.
