Assigning users access rights to Mashup applications
The Mashup File Administration Tool allows you to administer user access rights to mashup files. A mashup file is the deployed artifact from a mashup project. A deployed mashup file consists of one or more mashups.
A .mashup file can now be uploaded via the Mashup File Administration Tool. This can be enabled by checking the Enable Mashup Deploy in Mango Core settings.
Consider these information when deciding how to manage user access to mashups:
- You can only assign user or role access at the mashup project level. Therefore, all mashups contained within the project will be available to the connected users or roles.
- It is not possible to allow users different access rights to individual mashups within a mashup project. If you have multiple mashups, and want to have assign different users or roles access to each mashup, then you must start a new project for each mashup you create.
- The Grid session provider is responsible for retrieving user information such as Display Name. A Grid Session provider configured for LDAP lookup will provide the best user experience.
