Clearing system cache in Infor Smart Office (Lawson applications only)
When you make some changes to Infor Smart Office by for example, creating or changing roles with Role Manager or adding or removing bookmarks, the cache must be updated before the changes will appear on a user's canvas. This is true not just for changes that are made with Infor Smart Office but also with other Lawson components, including updates to the Resource Management repository, and other programs such as Design Studio, pgmdef and locdef that are used to customize delivered versions of Lawson components.
Cache will be cleared automatically whenever the Lawson system is restarted or a particular server is bounced. However, if you need changes to take effect immediately, use the Cache menu to clear all cache or just cache for the affected component.

RM Caches |
The RM Cache can be cleared when a change to an RM entry (people, thing or organization resource.) needs to be visible to all applications immediately. If the cache is not cleared, a change could take up to five minutes before it is seen by all applications. |
