User role configuration
User roles can be configured in two ways:

The default is to use the roles in M3. For more information about creating M3 roles and connecting users to roles, see the Business Engine documentation.

You can also configure roles in Infor Smart Office.
The role functionality can be configured in the MForms settings in the Settings Editor using these settings:

Enable M3 Roles (Enable/Disable) - Use roles defined in M3 or not.

Roles (comma-separated list of roles) - An optional list of roles that is used if M3 roles are disabled. The roles will be applied to all users.

If the M3 roles are enabled, the roles for a user are retrieved using the transaction LstRoles in the program MNS410MI. M3 roles are created in MNS405 and users are connected to a role in MNS410.

If the user is connected to any roles, these will be loaded when the user starts Infor Smart Office and sent to the MNE server and used to look for personalizations when starting an M3 program
