Migrating predefined widgets from Lawson Smart Office 9.0.x or Lawson Smart Client

If you created predefined widgets in earlier versions of Lawson Smart Office or Lawson Smart Client, you must convert them for use in this version of Infor Smart Office.

The WidgetSettingsConverter tool is located in the AdditionalFiles\WidgetSettingsConverter folder included in the .zip file downloaded from inforxtreme.com.

  1. Copy the WidgetSettingsConverter.exe file to the /PreDefinedWidgets directory on the Lawson Smart Office server.
  2. Launch WidgetSettingsConverter.exe.
  3. In the Definition file field, type the path to the Definitions.xml file, located in the /PreDefinedWidgets directory on the Infor Smart Office server.

    In the Output file field, type the path to the WidgetSettingsDefinitions.xml file. By default, the location will point to the directory where the conversion tool is launched from.

  4. Click the Convert button.

    When the conversion is complete, a message box displays with the name and location of the WidgetSettingsDefinitions.xml.

  5. Copy WidgetSettingsDefinitions.xml to the /Settings folder on the Infor Smart Office server.
