Passive authentication

Passive authentication requires you to authenticate through web browser or web browser control. Instead of sending credentials to the Infor Smart Office server or the application servers, you are redirected to an Identity Provider (IDP) where the actual authentication is performed. An IDP is typically Active Directory Federated Service (ADFS). You can chain several IDPs if needed.

Another name for passive authentication is federated authentication.

Note: The Mango Administrator tool requires access to the Mango server through a router that has basic authentication enabled. If there are issues signing in, check the server URL and ensure that the port matches a router that has basic authentication enabled.
