Configuring notes to be stored in Infor Document Management (M3 users only)

This topic describes how to configure storage of Notes (information that users add to forms).

Notes are stored either in IDM or on the Infor Smart Office server. This allows for content other than text, including documents and images, to be attached to a note. Use of Document Archive Foundation must be configured.

Note: If you used Notes prior to Release 9.1.2, Notes are already stored in IDM and are pre-configured to remain that way. You only need to change configuration if you want to switch to storing Notes outside of IDM.

By default all users can create Notes. The ability to do so can be disabled for all users in the Mango UI settings of the Settings Editor. See Mango UI.

Perform these steps to configure Notes to be stored in Infor Document Management:

  1. Open the Profile Editor.
  2. Select CA from the application list on the left side of the Profile Editor window.
  3. Select Enable CA Configuration.
  4. On the Infor Document Management section of the basic view, select Use as Notes Repository.
