Locking a setting

Settings are delivered unlocked meaning that if users have access to the setting and want to change it, they can. Settings are locked when the checkbox to the left of the setting name contains a checkmark. This means that the user cannot change the setting. This is true whether the setting is enabled or disabled.

  1. From the Settings Editor main dialog box, select the type of setting you want to change, for example, MForms, and then locate the setting you want to change.

When you lock a setting from the main Settings Editor dialog box, it is locked for all users except those who have been assigned a custom rule that unlocks the setting.

  2. Click the check box to the left of the option name to enable or disable.
  3. Click Save when you are finished.
