Infor Smart Office and Lawson Enterprise Applications User Setup Overview
Infor Smart Office users who use Lawson Enterprise Applications have the following requirements for user authentication:
-
Users need to exist in the Lawson System Foundation LDAP and the LDAP where the Grid session provider authenticates Infor Smart Office users.
If the two LDAPs are connected using an LDAPBIND, the users only need to exist in the LSF LDAP. If the two LDAPs are not bound, then user names and passwords must be identical in both LDAPs.
-
The user must have a user ID, password, and SSOP identity in the Lawson Resource Management system. Typically, these tasks are performed by a security administrator.
See User authentication.
In addition, Infor Smart Office users must be set up for access to the forms, data, and Infor Smart Office features that they will use. This setup occurs in both Lawson Security and in Infor Smart Office.
-
In Lawson Security's Resource Management application, users, user roles, and user attributes are defined. These control a user's access rights to applications, forms, and data. This setup is performed by a security administrator.
-
In Infor Smart Office, the Infor Smart Office administrator is responsible for managing access to personalizations, and creating and customizing roles for Infor Smart Office. See Managing SForms personalizations.
