Overview of SForms personalizations

When using Lawson Enterprise Applications forms in Infor Smart Office, users have several options for customizing their user experience. These options fall into three broad categories.

Bookmarks Users can create navigational shortcuts to forms. For example, they can:

  • Choose forms to put in the Navigator favorites
  • Create shortcuts from the canvas to a form
  • Bookmark current forms

Personalizations Users can alter the way a form appears on their canvas. Some examples include

  • Changing field label text
  • Changing the order in which fields appear on the screen
  • Choosing fields to hide or display
  • Setting their own default values for fields
  • Making fields required

User Settings Users can change some basic application settings, for example:

  • Choose to access application forms in list format.
  • Select the language/locale for Lawson Enterprise Application forms.
  • Select the application product line to access.

All of these options are available through the Tools menu, which is available when an Lawson Enterprise Applications form is displayed in Infor Smart Office.

Infor Smart Office administrators are responsible for setting up access to personalization features. This can be done globally, meaning that a personalization is available to all Lawson Enterprise Applications users, or to none of them. It can also be done by creating role files for groups of users. In this way, you can allow certain groups of one or more users to have access to personalization tools

Infor Smart Office administrators are also responsible for monitoring personalization files and deleting them when users or roles are removed from the system.
