Infor Smart Office Log Viewer

The Log Viewer displays system log entries for Infor Smart Office.

The Log Viewer is available from the Administration Tools menu in the Navigator.

Note: End users can view or save logs from links in the ? (Help) > About Infor Smart Office menu.
  1. In the Navigator, select Functions > Administration Tools > Log Viewer.

    The Log Viewer window is displayed, showing recent log entries. The Log Viewer stores approximately two hours worth of log messages.

  2. Select a log entry to display the full log entry message.

    • You can use the text fields to filter log messages. For example:

      • Specify LBI in the Message field to view all messages related to Lawson Business Intelligence.
      • Specify Widget in the Origin field and ERR in the Default Log Level field to view a list of error messages related to widgets.

    • To save a log file, select File > Save as... Specify a file name and click OK.

    • You can export log entries to Notepad to save them for future analysis. Select File>Open Current Log Externally.
