Creating a new empty portal

With IPF, not only can you add or change content for the existing IPF portals, but you can also create a new empty portal to be used for development of another portal application. For example, you could create an employee portal or a financial data portal.

These are the tasks for setting up an empty portal:

❑	Ensure that prerequisites are met. See Prerequisites.
❑	Create the empty portal record. Do not configure the portal, just create the new portal record and launch the Portal Manager for it.
❑	In the Portal Manager, enable the empty portal for development.
❑	Add development tools content. See Adding development tools content.
❑	Configure the portal. See Configuring the empty portal.
