Closing a content version for development

When you are ready to release a content version, you must first close it for development. To close the content version, all components and the content version itself must be unlocked by using the Export Components function under Content Development. After a content version is closed, it cannot be re-opened.

  1. In the Portal Manager, select Content Development > Content Versions.
  2. Expand the originator and select the version to close.
  3. Click Close for Development.
  4. When prompted to confirm, click Yes.
  5. Click OK. In addition to closing the content version, the portal is automatically closed for development, because there is no longer an editable originator specified on the Developer Options tab.
