Managing style families
Style families are maintained in the Portal Manager on the Style Families tab under Content Development. The style families are displayed at the top section of the form. When you expand a style family at the top of the form, user-defined styles are displayed in the bottom section of the form. Use the icons on the far right side of the form to work with style families.
Notes:
- When you add a style family, the parent style family, if any, is also chosen.
- When you delete a style family, the style family and any sub style families are removed from the Style Families list, including under supported locales. Assets are not part of the style families; if you delete a style family, it will only remove the user-defined styles. The assets will not be touched.
- Renaming a style family renames the style family in the Style Families list (including under supported locales).
- Copying and subsequently pasting a style family creates a copy of the style family (and all child style families) together with its user-defined styles. Child style families are considered part of the parent style family unit and cannot be copied independently.
- Style families are treated as a single component and are imported, exported, activated and/or overridden as an indivisible unit.
- Locales can be added.
- The default style family can be assigned to or removed from the portal using a setting on the Session Initialization tab under Portal Configuration. At the page level, a style family assigned to the portal is overridden by any style family assigned to the component set that a page belongs to.
- The style family name must be the fully qualified name of the style family; for example, Infor/Lightness.
