Specifying a component's default value

  1. With the form open and in Design Mode, select a component.
  2. For the Default Value property, specify the value you want to use as the component's default value on New operations.
  3. The value must meet any validation criteria for the component, such as maximum length or data type.
  4. Set the Do Not Clear Value On New property as appropriate.
  5. Set the Use Default Value On Copy property as appropriate.
  6. Regenerate the form.
