Physical Inventory Steps
This topic provides an overview of the physical inventory steps.
Note: If you only need to do a partial inventory of selected items, or you cannot afford to have your entire system frozen while you perform inventory, you can do a cycle count instead.
Order of Events
To perform a physical inventory, use these procedures:
- Freeze inventory
- Define tag and sheet control parameters
- Load physical inventory records
- Printing inventory tags and printing inventory sheets
- Enter count quantities
- Post count quantities
- Unfreeze inventory
