Setting Up Commodity Codes

  1. On the Commodity Codes form, select Actions > New.
  2. Specify this information:
    Commodity
    Specify a code to use to identify the commodity. For example, specify SFW for software.
    Description
    Specify a description of the commodity.
    Supplementary Units Required
    Select this check box to require that a secondary quantity be calculated for items with this commodity code. Certain commodities require measurement in supplementary units (liters, number of parts, square meters) in addition to mass (kilograms). An item's commodity code determines whether a quantity in supplementary units must be calculated for that item when providing EU SSD information.
  3. Save the record.
