Creating a Service Order Change Order

In most cases, you will add a change order from the Service Order Operations form. You can also add change orders directly on the Service Order Change Orders form, but this topic begins at the Service Order Operations form.

  1. Open the Service Order Operations form.
  2. Filter for the operation for which you need to add a change order.
  3. Click Add Change Order.
    A new operation is added.
  4. Select an Operation Code and specify an estimate for the Total Price.
  5. Click Edit Change Order.
The Service Order Change Orders form opens and most fields are populated automatically.
  6. Select the Expiration Date for the order.
  7. If you need to add new sections to the order, use the Sections tab.
  8. If you need to add more estimate transactions, use the Lines tab to add transactions to the order.
  9. On the Print Options tab, select the information that you want to include on the order output.
  10. Optionally, click Print Preview to preview the change order output. You can confirm that the details are accurate.
  11. When you are satisfied with the details of the order, select the Signature tab and then specify your name, title, and signature.
  12. Click Accept.
  13. Click Approve Change Order.
The Approve Estimate SRO form opens.
  14. In the Est Approved By field, specify your name or the name of the partner who approved the estimate.
  15. Optionally, specify the Customer PO number.
  16. Click OK.

You can refresh the Service Orders and Service Order Operations forms to review your changes for the new change order.

If you need to revise the change order after it has been added, click Create Revision on the Service Order Change Orders form. The original order is retained and a revision is added with the original values.
