About Service Order Invoice and Revenue Milestones

An invoice milestone allows partial invoicing of a service order, based on portions of the order that are complete. Instead of waiting for the completion of an operation, invoices are generated based on the completion of a milestone. Using this approach, you can increase cash flow by receiving payments throughout the life of an operation.

A revenue milestone sets a point at which partial profit and loss is recognized.

For both invoice and revenue milestones, you define where the milestone occurs and set the assumptions that determine how it is realized.
