Working with Consumables

If your company provides consumable items, then you can use the Consumables unit of rate to sell those products, which are typically related to rental items.

Note: Consumables are only supported if you are integrated with Distribution SX.e.

The Consumables option is available from the Unit of Rate field on forms throughout the Rental module, such as the Rental Counter. When adding a new rental contract, you will select Consumables as the unit of rate for the items that you plan to sell. After selecting Consumables, the Rate amount is updated with the Distribution SX.e pricing of the selected item. The Billing Frequency value is set to One Time.

After checking out the rental item, the Process.InvoiceBOD is triggered and an order is created in OEIO in Distribution SX.e with the corresponding lines.
