Prefix

Specify the default AlphaKey prefix to use when generating Next Keys for rows having a blank or to-be-determined value in this column.

Use one of these settings:

  • A constant value surrounded by single quotes (for example, 'C' for a customer number prefix).
  • If a single row exists in that table with a non-NULL value in the specified column, Table.column (for example, coparms.co_prefix).

If the Generator(s) field contains multiple program names, you must enter multiple prefixes here, separated by commas.
