Configuring the service application

  1. In the folder where you installed the setup files, run ExchangeSyncUI.exe as an administrator.
  2. Select File > Configuration.
    The Sync Process Configuration screen is displayed.
  3. On the Exchange Authentication tab, specify this information:
    EWS URL
    Specify a valid Exchange Web Service URL.

    If you are unsure of the URL or think it may change in the future, leave this field blank. The Sync Process UI can automatically set the URL to the correct EWS for the specified email address.

    Service Account Email ID
    Specify the email address for the user that will connect to the EWS.

    This user also acts as a delegate account, which can create, read, update, and delete on behalf of other users, provided permission is granted.

    Exchange Authentication Mode

    To use Basic Authentication, keep this default value and specify the password for the email ID.

    To use Modern Authentication, select OAuth and complete three more fields in the OAuth Authentication section.

    Note: You must have already registered the Infor Service Management Exchange Sync application with Azure Active Directory to proceed with OAuth. See the Microsoft ADD admin center for instructions.
    Client ID
    Specify the Application (client) ID that you obtained from the Azure Active Directory (AAD) application registration.
    Tenant ID
    Specify the Directory (tenant) ID that you obtained from the AAD application registration.
    Client Secret
    Specify the Client Secret that you obtained from the AAD application registration.
  4. Click Test Connection.
    Ensure that you receive the message "Connected to Exchange Service!"
  5. On the Infor Service Management tab, specify this information:
    Server
    Specify the server to connect to the Service Management IDO Web Service.
    Tenant
    Specify the tenant to connect to the Service Management and fetch the configuration.
    Load Config
    Click On Load Config button to load the Service Management configurations.
    Site Config
    Select a Service Management configuration to connect to.
    User
    Specify a Service Management username.

    An administrator must set up for the user the appropriate IDO permissions and Service scheduling permissions. See Setting Service and IDO permissions.

    Password
    Specify the password for the user.
    Use Https
    This option is selected by default. If you are using Http, clear this option.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Test Connection.
    Ensure that you receive the message "Connected to IDO Web Service successfully!"
    Note: You can initiate the synchronization process by using the Sync Process UI or the Window Services. See Initiating the synchronization process with the Sync Process UI and Initiating the synchronization process with Window Services.
  8. On the General tab, specify this information:
    Admin Email
    Specify an email address to use as the administrator email.

    This email address will receive notifications from the Sync Process UI about events, such as a failure to connect to a user account. You can specify multiple email addresses by separating them with a semicolon.

    Default Client Calendar
    If you did not select one on the Calendar Sync Users form, then select the calendar to use as the default client calendar.
    Ping Frequency
    Specify the frequency interval that the Sync Process UI will use to contact the EWS and Service Management. The minimum value is 30 seconds.
    Body Type
    If you did not select an option on the Calendar Sync Users form, select whether you want to use plain text or HTML by default in the body or note section of a calendar event.
    Include Private Appointment
    Select No if you do not want to synchronize Exchange calendar items that are marked as private. Select Yes to include them.

    Private appointments are added to the calendars with the date, time, and subject. The subject is displayed as PRIVATE. No other details are added to Service Management.

    HTML Template Folder
    If you selected HTML as the Body Type, then you can use a custom HTML template to format the body of the calendar event. Specify the system folder where the template is located. If the template is in the subfolder HtmlTemplates under the application folder, leave this field blank. See Creating a custom calendar event template.
  9. Click Save then Close.
After performing the initial configuration, if the configuration has changed while the background task is active, we recommend that you restart the Sync Process background task to apply the change.
