Creating CRM Opportunities for Contract Renewals

Open the Opportunity Creation Utility.

Select Create Opportunities for Contract
Renewals.

Specify the number of days into the future that the utility should
look for contracts set to be renewed.

In the Name field, specify the name
to use in the Opportunity Name field
on the Opportunities form for any opportunities
that are created.

Select the range of items, contracts, customers, and units to use
to filter which units and/or contracts are evaluated for potential
opportunity creation.

In the Lead Source field, select
the value to use for any newly created opportunities.

In the Opportunity Stage field,
select the value to use for any newly created opportunities.

Optionally, select Preview and click
Process to populate the grid with any
opportunities that will be created.

Select Commit and click Process.
If a contract with a renewal date within the specified date range
is found, then an opportunity is created for the customer on the contract.
New opportunity lines are created for each of the open contract lines.
